Wow, it is hard to believe 25 years have gone by since I decided that only fishing a few weeks a year was not enough. In 1986 we started Codfather Charters with our 28' Bayliner - The Codfather, by 1988 we had to buy a 24 foot Trophy the R-Billy to keep up with the demand and in 1990 another 24' Trophy the C-Dog named after our dog Cody. By 1992 we had 4 boats running and bought our building on the waterfront to house our growing number of guests, many of whom have been back here every year since.

In 2005 we retired the Trophys and updated our fleet with 3 new 24 foot Sea West boats custom built to our specifications. These boats are also built to the latest Transport Canada standards for safety features and construction standards. They went into service in 2006 & 2007 and have proven to be excellent boats. In 2008 we started fishing our classic Bertram 31 after an extensive refit and update. This is a superb boat to fish from and is very comfortable and seaworthy. 2008 also saw the renovation of our condos.

Over 25 years we have seen a lot of changes in the fishery: good years, slow years, great years, El Ninos, Economic highs and lows, but the things that got all this started haven't changed: the smiles of people after landing a great fish, the feeling of leaving the harbour anticipating what the day may bring, beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife and returning to the dock at day’s end with a boat full of happy people ready to establish bragging rights and rehash the day events.
